It’s unlikely there’s a person alive who doesn’t want to look as young as possible for as long as possible. Giving the impression that we’re a few years younger (or more!) than we actually are is one of the biggest confidence boosts going, and, aesthetically, there’s nothing that creates quite as positive a first impression as a healthy, glowing complexion. But combatting aging is about more than just the cosmetic; it can also help improve overall skin health and keep it functioning in the way it should.
Here at ReZen MedSpa, we’re proud to deliver the very finest and latest in anti-aging treatments, putting your own unique needs at the forefront from the outset. Based at a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Johns Creek in North Atlanta, we’ve already enabled hundreds of clients to walk away feeling relaxed and reborn, as our five-star Google rating can attest! With a wealth of different techniques at our disposal and the best in new technology to call upon, we can offer just about any kind of customized treatment you can think of. Here, we take a look at some of our most popular as we look to help you stand up to the threats posed by Father Time…
Laser Treatments
While they may sound a little daunting at first, laser treatments for skin rejuvenation have become increasingly popular in recent years as an alternative to invasive procedures, namely facelifts. Typically using focussed light energy, laser treatments stimulate collagen production – resulting in smoother skin – and promote cell turnover. At ReZen MedSpa, we’re able to deploy both a hybrid laser and a plasma laser. The Alma Hybrid CO2 Laser can treat fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring with little time needed for you to recover. The Alma Opus Plasma Laser, meanwhile, is particularly useful for those between the ages of 40 and 70, removing superficial layers and helping to tighten the skin. While a hybrid laser combines multiple beams, a plasma laser utilizes ionized gas to heat the skin.
How often? For a hybrid laser, we recommend four sessions, four to six weeks apart. For a plasma laser, three sessions are required every four weeks.
Injectables
Minimally invasive and the most popular skincare procedures of all, we can introduce you to a number of different injectables to target age-related changes or a lack of definition in certain parts of your face. Injectables tend to take one of two forms: neurotoxins or dermal fillers. The former, including Botox and Dysport, relax facial muscles and soften lines and wrinkles. The latter, meanwhile, such as Juvederm and Restalyne, are injected beneath your skin’s top layer (the epidermis) to boost volume and are commonly associated with lips. While the use of Botox to treat such things as crow’s feet and forehead lines is something most of you will be familiar with, some of our other injectables may sound a little foreign. Each has a different purpose too, but don’t worry – we’re here to provide all of the knowledge you require and help you decide which is the most appropriate one for you.
How often? With neurotoxins, results typically last between three and six months before touch-ups are required. As for dermal fillers, results tend to last up to 18 months, depending on the exact product used.
Chemical Peels
Another hugely common, non-invasive treatment, chemical peels facilitate a more youthful look by removing your skin’s outer layers, stimulating its natural regeneration process, and revealing fresher, smoother skin. The new skin will also be brighter, and more even in tone. Often associated with tackling sun damage and fine lines, the procedure can become more intense according to which chemicals are used and how far into the skin they travel, with peels typically classed as being light, medium, or deep in strength. A deep peel will require more in the way of recovery time.
How often? The frequency will depend completely on the type of peel used; a light peel may be performed every few weeks, medium every few months and deep just every few years.
Microneedling
Combining many of the benefits already described above, microneedling has the added boost of requiring minimal recovery time. Versatile in function, the technique sees tiny needles penetrate the skin to stimulate both collagen and elastin production, both of which decrease with age. Using derma rollers and derma pens, the needles effectively establish microscopic wounds, but rather than leaving scars, they encourage your skin to repair itself, with new cells created to produce a more even texture and tone. Similar to chemical peels, the number of needles used, as well as the depth they reach, can vary according to the severity of your needs. Here at ReZen MedSpa, we’re delighted to offer the industry’s leading microneedling technology: Morpheus8.
How often? Again, it can vary, but typically you’ll be looking at three different sessions, taking place four to six weeks apart.
